Most plastic baby bottles are now (finally) made of BPA-free #5 plastic or glass, whereas just a few years ago most were made of polycarbonate plastic, which leaches BPA. Regardless (or perhaps despite of) this trend, U.S. and E.U. authorities continue to maintain that the safe level of daily BPA exposure is more than 25 times the levels of BPA found in polycarbonate plastic baby bottles.
